MEETING WITH MINISTER OF INVESTMENT AND DOWNSTREAM INDUSTRY

Jakarta, 15 April 2026. Ambassador D.Enkhtaivan met with H.E. Mr. Rosan P. Roeslani, Minister of Investment and Downstream Industry of the Republic of Indonesia and CEO of the “Danantara Indonesia” Fund, to exchange views on expanding bilateral economic and investment cooperation.

During the meeting, both sides highlighted the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Indonesia, which is being commemorated this year, and expressed their shared view that this milestone presents a strategic opportunity to elevate bilateral relations to a new level.

Ambassador D.Enkhtaivan introduced Mongolia’s economic policy, particularly its objective of transitioning from a resource-based export model to value-added production and expressed interest in learning from Indonesia’s successful experience in implementing downstream industrial policies. He also emphasized the broad potential for cooperation in critical minerals, manufacturing, supply chains, and joint investment projects.

Minister Roeslani provided an overview of the “Danantara Indonesia” Fund, which manages Indonesia’s state-owned enterprises, as well as its strategic investment priorities, and expressed support for enhancing exchanges between relevant institutions of the two countries and for exploring opportunities for joint projects.

The two sides also agreed to develop cooperation between Mongolia’s Sovereign Wealth Fund and the “Danantara Indonesia” Fund, including through the exchange of experience in investment and risk management, and to explore possibilities for joint investments.

Furthermore, both parties agreed to work closely to facilitate the entry of Mongolian enterprises into the Indonesian market, promote business partnerships, create a favorable investment environment, and strengthen cooperation between relevant institutions.
